Movie Night: MELODIE

To kick things off, director Anka Schmid will participate in a panel discussion about the making of the film and the stories behind it.
MELODIE explores the power of singing and shows how songs can heal and bring people together: from a Kurdish refugee family to a dairymaid reciting the Alpine blessing, from premature babies to people with dementia. The film brings to life how singing builds trust and fosters community—in a monastery, a men’s choir, a soccer stadium, or at protest marches. MELODIE is a manifesto of the joy of life!
