Increase your sense of physical security with Kinaesthetics

Many assume that mobility decreases with age - but that need not be the case. Kinaesthetics focuses on increasing awareness of movement and enhancing the sense of security. The support associations actively support and finance Kinaesthetics courses in Binningen and Allschwil.
Kinaesthetics for those directly affected and their caregivers
The aim of kinaesthetics is to increase awareness of one's own movements, to discover new or forgotten resources and to maintain healthy movement patterns. This will bring more security and autonomy into everyday life.
Caregiving relatives provide a great service - sometimes at the expense of their own health. Kinaesthetics tries to provide support so that caregiving relatives do not injure themselves and the cared-for person can contribute to the activity.
Courses with a personalised approach
The course leader analyses the individual movement sequences with the participants of the course. In addition the knowledge is linked with a simple theoretical background. They use the new insights to make the movements more nuanced. They also specifically look at the points where strain on the joints is increased or breathing becomes difficult due to high body tension.
The courses also address personal challenges and look for solutions: How do I get on the tram with a walker? How do I get up from the floor? For family caregivers, questions such as: How can I help someone to get up without taking on their weight? What should I take into account when transferring someone from a bed to a wheelchair?
