Prevent falls with Rhythmics

Course members tap along to the piano with rhythm sticks

A secure stance and firm steps are essential to avoid accidents and maintain quality of life. Our fall prevention courses are aimed at people who want to improve their balance, coordination and surefootedness. The courses are based on the rhythmic-method of Jaques-Dalcroze.

The risk of injury from falls increases with age. The consequences are injuries that often have permanent impairments. The scientifically studied prevention method "Rhythmics according to Jaques-Dalcroze" helps to improve walking stability. After just six months of regular attendance at the rhythmic course, falls are reduced by more than 50%.

In the courses, the instructors combine music, singing and movement, thus requiring participants to multitask. The brain is stimulated and challenged, which has a noticeable effect on walking stability.
